Soon Saqafat 2025

CGMA Foundation, under its cultural initiative Soon Saqafat, successfully organized the Soon Saqafat Meena Bazar, a vibrant community event dedicated to women and young girls of Soon Valley. The program aimed to celebrate local craftsmanship, revive cultural traditions, empower women, and strengthen community bonds across the valley.

A highlight of the event was the exhibition of the Basic Stitching & Embroidery Course, showcasing the creative and detailed work of women trained under the SheSkills Program at the CGMA Skill Development Centre. Participants proudly displayed their handcrafted pieces, reflecting their dedication, skill, and artistic growth.
Certificates were also awarded to trainees who successfully completed the course, recognizing their hard work and achievements.

The Meena Bazar featured a wide range of cultural and creative stalls, including art and craft displays, embroidery, crochet, mehndi, nail art, grooming services, dresses, bangles, jewelry, and traditional food — offering visitors a colorful and joyful experience filled with community spirit.

The inaugural ceremony was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and was officially opened by Mr. Haider Awan, Chairman of CGMA Foundation. In his remarks, he appreciated the efforts of local women and highlighted the foundation’s ongoing mission to train women not only in traditional skills but also in digital literacy, enabling them to sell their work online and become financially independent.
He emphasized that women’s empowerment is the cornerstone of a strong and progressive society.

The Meena Bazar continued for two consecutive days — Saturday and Sunday, October 25–26, 2025 — drawing an enthusiastic response from local women who participated wholeheartedly. Visitors praised the talent, creativity, and cultural richness displayed by the women of Soon Valley, calling it a remarkable step toward rural women’s empowerment and economic inclusion.

Through initiatives like Soon Saqafat, the CGMA Foundation continues to pursue its mission of promoting local skills, empowering women, and fostering sustainable community development across Soon Valley.
